One of the most common reasons why people struggle at learning foreign languages is that they are afraid of making mistakes, afraid of looking stupid. At Fluent, we believe that these are essential steps of the language learning journey. and we encourage our students to “put themselves out there” and break their language barrier!
When we’re learning Spanish, our goal is to eventually communicate with Argentinians, Colombians or Spaniards. However, if you don’t get the opportunity to practice the language, it's impossible to achieve this goal. At Fluent, you interact with native speakers while learning the language. You learn Hebrew through Israelis and Italian through Italians.
Behind every language is a story and a culture. At Fluent, we believe in connecting language learning to this story. Cultural immersion is an essential part of all of our learning methods. We learn Hebrew by preparing Shakshuka, learn French while listening to Edith Piaf, and we learn Spanish while speaking about Che Guevara’s revolution.
At Fluent, we learn languages in context. All of our platforms are dynamic, interactive, practical and connected to everyday life. We’re done with learning irrelevant vocabulary and expressions that will keep us stuck in our antique workbooks. Instead, learn to eat, speak, drink, breathe and live - in your new language.
"I arrived to this course after experiencing several "regular" French courses that focused mainly on robotic studying and memorizations, or writing and pronunciation exercises. For those who already have some basics Fluent's course is way more fun and effective! The classes are so fun, we just speak about subjects that everyone is interested in, and through these we naturally learn the language. The content is interesting, the teaching is excellent and the fact that we study as a group makes the studying more fun and social, which is always nicer! I definitely recommend this course to whoever has some basics in a language and wants to feel fully comfortable and confident in it."
"I think the immersion program was amazing. I especially liked the format of half-English, half-Hebrew. I'm very self-conscious about my Hebrew, resulting in me coming across shy and almost mute. By splitting each session, I was able to have my personality come across during the English half, which made me more empathetic to the struggles of the other participants, and more willing to bravely talk during the Hebrew half. I really felt like I learned a ton about both Hebrew and Israeli culture, and I made a great set of friends along the way!"
“Fluent has helped me so much in learning Hebrew. It was an essential step of my ‘learning Hebrew process’: that moment when I actually dared to speak instead of just listening. It is an amazing, friendly and judgment-free environment, with great people from all over the world.”
"My experience with Fluent was excellent. I came into the course having spent two semesters in Ulpan and could read and understand decently, but I really struggled with my speaking. The course was perfect for improving in this area, and gave me the ability and the confidence to express myself comfortably in Hebrew. Most importantly, the teachers were awesome, and pushed me to talk more, especially in the beginning when I was nervous."
